About Training - What Can I Expect

WHY SHOULD I TRAIN MY DOG? You will spend good quality time working with
your dog which becomes fun and educational for both of you. A well trained dog
is a true pleasure to live with.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
We offer well organized classes with individual attention to all our trainees
and their dogs. We have three levels of training.

PUPPY CLASS
( 8 Weeks - 6 Months Old Puppies )
This class educates owners about dog / dog and dog / human interaction,
dog psychology, health and grooming, being a responsible pet owner, etc.
Your puppy will build confidence through an introduction
of the basic commands
and socializing with their classmates and other trainees. |

BEGINNERS 1
( Prepares dogs to be reliable family members & good citizens )
They will learn the basic obedience commands, making them a
respected member of the community. You and your dog will establish
a closer bond and your dog will have the added benefit of
knowing how to please you. |

BEGINNERS 2
( Is a continuation of Beginners 1 class )
Your dog will use these commands to expand his / her learning to a higher level. After passing the test, your dog should be able to compete at fun matches
entering in the Pre-Novice class. These members participate in
orientation night demonstrations, parades, and
make nursing home visits.

What is expected of me and my dog?
You will
need a six foot leather/nylon leash, a buckle
collar for puppies, and a chain training
collar for older dogs.
Proof of
up-to-date vaccinations and the results of a
recent stool exam are required before starting
class.
For
everyone's safety, your dog must be on a leash
at all times, unless doing an off-leash
exercise conducted by the class instructor.
Handlers need to be
able to control their dogs.
Using the facility
is a privilege. Cleaning supplies will
be provided for you to clean up after your
dog, both inside and outside the facility.
