About Training
WHY SHOULD I TRAIN MY DOG?
You will spend good quality time working with your dog which becomes fun and educational for both of you. A well trained dog is a true pleasure to live with.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT
We offer well organized classes with individual attention to all our trainees and their dogs. We have three levels of training: Puppy, Beginners I, Beginners II.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME AND MY DOG
You will need a six foot leather/nylon leash, a buckle collar for puppies, and a chain training collar for older dogs.
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations and the results of a recent stool exam are required before starting class.
For everyone's safety, your dog must be on a leash at all times, unless doing an off-leash exercise conducted by the class instructor.
Handlers need to be able to control their dogs.
Cleaning supplies will be provided for you to clean up after your dog, both inside and outside the facility.
PUPPY CLASS
( 8 Weeks - 6 Months )
This class educates owners about dog/dog and dog/human interaction, dog psychology, health and grooming, being responsible pet owner, etc. Your puppy will build confidence through an introduction of the basic commands and socializing with their classmates and other trainees.
BEGINNERS I
Prepares dogs to be reliable family members and good citizens. They will learn the basic obedience commands, making them a respected member of the community. You and your dog will establish a closer bond and your dog will have the added benefit of knowing how to please you.
BEGINNERS II
Is a continuation of Beginners I class. Your dog will use these commands to expand his/her learning to a higher level. This class offers Beginner Novice and Rally exercises. These members participate in orientation night demonstrations, parades, and make nursing home visits.
